KBRwyle is seeking an individual to join the US Army CECOM SEC IEW&SD SMED Biometrics Automated Toolset-Army (BAT-A) team as a Systems Engineer to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support services. The Systems Engineer will be embedded with PM DoD Biometrics. The engineer will be responsible for reviews in support of government acceptance of System Integrator deliverables for the PM DoD Biometrics Program of Record (PoR) BAT-A Program. Provide expert-level subject matter expertise (SME) for Biometric and Identity deployed systems. Support the design, configuration, and functionality of biometric applications, both hardware and software, to ensure that system enhancement updates are designed and developed to work optimally and efficiently. Assist Government in planning, conducting, and overseeing the technical aspects of Biometric deployed systems. Review deliverables, observe/witness testing, and investigate issues and failures of the system. Represent government interests during System Integrator acceptance testing. Provide engineering support for Life Cycle Management of the BAT-A system. Provide subject matter expertise on biometric collection and processing technology, respond as appropriate to actions and other similar tasking from customer. Interface with PM Chief Engineer, Government Project Lead, and other program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to facilitate two-way communications and ensure the Biometrics community functional/technical needs are adequately represented: - Integrate and test Program Executive Office (PEO) Intelligence, Electronic Warfare & Sensors (IEW&S) systems - Manage the change control process and support the change control meetings. Contribute to the management of requirements including the establishment of traceability between requirements and proposed solutions. Contribute to the management and maintenance of interface control documentation for electronic, software and mechanical interfaces. - Monitor and report on progress of system specification, development, manufacturing, system integration, verification and testing activities. Monitor government and prime contractor programmatic activities, including Risk Management, Reliability Growth, Technical Performance Measures, System Metrics, and similar activities for PM. Monitor Government-conducted system level testing and verifications for the assigned product. - Implement and manage appropriate and effective systems engineering processes and procedures. Plan, budget, organize, direct and control systems engineering tasks, people and resources. Manage and apply safe systems of work. - Act as Liaison Officer (LNO) between by interfacing with Army C4ISR systems and military network providers to facilitate interpretability. - Gather and refine high level requirements, manage requirements prioritization and categorization, and define, develop and document system architecture to meet requirements in PM Biometrics - Define system processes (configuration management and requirements management); create and maintain Program Level Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) - Create, define and process the required outcome for cross functional teams for trade studies; interface with high level Systems Engineering leads in determining the best course of action for software development - Work with Program Level members to ensure a unified system is designed, developed, tested, deployed, and maintained Supporting the PM Biometrics Product Lead (PL) for BAT-A and the Product Support Manager (PSM). - Contribute to decision papers, briefings and presentations to ASA(ALT), HQDA, and AMC CECOM. Some travel maybe required. BA/BS Degree and 10 years of relevant experience or Master's Degree and 8 years of relevant experience required. Candidate must possess a security clearance which requires US citizenship.The following skills are preferred:

  • Experience and knowledge of Intelligence and Force Protection systems, BAT-A, DoD ABIS.

  • Experience and knowledge of US Military Operation and Program Summary reviews

  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Experience and understanding of strategic planning

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

  • Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-centric US Army environment

  • Previous knowledge and experience with biometric applications, biometric algorithms, and biometric matching, collection, and storing techniques

  • Experience with technical and high level communication with stakeholders,

  • Knowledge of programming languages in Microsoft .NET, Visual Basic 6.0, C#, C/C , XML,SQL, and software and hardware test procedures

  • Understanding of US Military Biometrics, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), and Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) systems The following skills are desired:
