This position is located at an international, non-hazardous Pacific region location. Additional details will be provided at the time of interview. This is a permanent move with funds available for candidate and dependent family members.

An ACTIVE TS/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph is required in order to be considered.

In this position, you will operate test equipment - to include function generators, signal generators, spectrum and network analyzers, power meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, volt-ohm-ammeters, fiber optic meters, BIT error tester, and multi-meters. Additional responsibilities will include:

Solder and perform electrical assembly - to include chassis wiring, system assembly, soldering wire to multi-pin connectors, and soldering components (including surface mount) to circuit cards. This task assumes/requires proficiency in the construction of various coaxial, semi-rigid, data, and control and ribbon cable assemblies.

Fabricate and assemble fiber optic cables - to include chassis wiring and assembling systems connected via optic cable.

Install, test, and analyze RF and electronic circuits

  • Rack, stack, and test systems, sub-systems, and equipment

  • Maintain labs used for system integration, test, and lifecycle support

  • Brief projects and systems status to technical management

  • Provide daily technical support for the evaluation of requirements and the development of cross-access strategies.

  • Engineer, document, install, troubleshoot, configure, and activate projects.

  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, engineering notes, electronic schematics, operating installation, and maintenance manuals and other documentation, and use best judgment to assure proper fit and function.

  • Fabricate and assemble - this task assumes/requires experience in mechanical fabrication and assembly of chassis, enclosures, antenna mounting brackets, motors, gear assemblies, etc., as well as working knowledge of military standards, stress and strain of materials, tolerances, and standard fabrication techniques.

  • Plan/read/red-line rack layout and interconnection diagrams and configure, test, and troubleshoot systems and equipment.

  • Develop and brief projects and systems to senior level personnel.

  • Read block and schematic diagrams and engineering notes

  • Identify RF and electronic components to include amplifiers, oscillators, mixers, couplers, isolators, dividers, filters, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes, resistors, inductors, capacitors, and relays.

  • Operate, safely and proficiently a variety of tools to include power hands tools, drill presses, table saws, and metal brakes.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Electronics Technology or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Two (2) years of additional related experience may be substituted for an associate's degree.

  • Three (3) years of COMSEC

  • Three (3) years understanding of RF: HF, VHF, UHF, VLF, SHF SIGINT systems

  • Ten (10) years of experience as a technician supporting SIGINT access, collection, or exploitation systems is required. Experience working with the type of equipment specified within/pertaining to particular Delivery Orders is required. Experience shall include proficiency in the areas of assessment, documentation, and troubleshooting.

  • An ACTIVE TS/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph is required in order to be considered.

  • Radio direction finding, Angle of Arrival Estimation, and Time & Frequency Difference of Arrival (T/FDOA) precision geo-location.

  • Scripting language; Linux/RedHat

  • FAA Class 3 physical and aerospace physiology and training requirements
