Electronics Technician, Maintenance 1
Responsibilities of Position:
Applies basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions.
Performs such tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment, taking test readings and using common instruments such as digital multi- meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes. Identifies, analyzes, reports on and corrects causes of equipment and systems failure. Must perform mechanical assembly of test fixtures.
Must have knowledge of instrumentation and proper wiring connections for the following: thermocouples, accelerometers, flow meters, proximity sensors, speed pickups, pressure sensors.
Perform testing procedures utilizing various testing equipment per written procedures. Providing test results to appropriate personnel in desirable format.
Responsible for cleaning of test fixtures after usage and in preparation of next test. Review Test Instruction (TI) with requestor.
Must be familiar with basic measurement tools required to measure test hardware before/after test per test instruction.
Prepare and configure rig per test instruction. Responsibilities include maintaining record of test fixtures. Operate Data Acquisition Equipment system(s) connected to rig. Distribute data after test.
Must ensure that all test hardware is marked, organized and recorded. Clean and organize lab materials.
Clean, organize and maintain lab facilities.
Must adhere to site safety and environmental requirements.
Report mistakes and omissions in Test Instruction and Job Safety Analysis instruction sheet.
Dispose of consumables and lubricants using approved containers and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
Works under minimal supervision and performs tasks in accordance with assigned test work and schedules. Will be responsible for reporting of the test results to engineering personnel.

Individual needs to be a self starter who performs work under minimal supervision with great attention to detail.
Must have the ability to follow written test procedures and protocol. Responsible for communicating with manager, engineering and technical peers. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Data Reporting Systems including technical data, reports and tests. Ability to read, interpret and deploy test instructions and documentation.
High School diploma or GED and 2 years of directly related work experience. Specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail.
