ABOUT THIS POSITION

Program Analyst to manage Risk Management and execute a newly revised Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) process in a NAVAIR program office in Lakehurst, New Jersey. This program has recently implemented a new weapon system modernization effort and this position will be critical to program success.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage a newly revised RIO process in accordance with the program’s RIO instruction.

  • Coordinate across the program and communicate results to program leadership and external stakeholders.

  • Facilitate RIO working groups and boards, ensuring consistency and adherence with established policies.

  • Manage the RIO web-based tool to include account access and data fidelity.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS or BA degree in a business, management or an engineering management discipline and 5 years experiencein technical program planning and implementation, contract interpretation, budget development and administration of government projects..

  • Allowable substitution: an AS or AA degree and seven (7) years of experience; or in lieu of degree nine (9) years of experience.

  • Clearance Requirement: US Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance or higher

Experience / Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • At least four (4) years of recent and relevant technical experience in program management, technical or business analysis discipline; and included in the four (4) years there must be two (2) years of recent and relevant technical experience in technical efforts supporting major weapon systems and components development.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of SECNAV, OPNAV, and OSD Policy and documentation related to PPDB and life-cycle management of military acquisition programs (as specified in the DOD 5000 series) is required.

  • Experience in processing program acquisition, funding and contract documentation for military programs.

  • Demonstrated experience in the program/project status, earned value management and schedules.
