ABOUT THIS POSITION

This position will independently plan and perform corrective and preventive maintenance on complex electronic intrusion detection systems.

You will serve as an expert in intrusion detection systems that include video (IR and day), access control (gates, turnstiles, card readers and keypads), radar perimeter security (FLIR), IR and BMS sensors, giant voice and mass notification equipment and a variety of communication protocols and networking.

Typical duties include:

  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on intrusion detection systems of various types and manufacturers

  • Recommend solutions to design problems.

  • Perform system tests and analyzing results, modifying equipment or installations to improve performance.

  • Performing repairs to fiber optic and copper cabling

Perform other duties as assigned

Local candidates preferred, relocation package not available.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in electronics technology or a two-year civilian technical electronics curriculum or a four-year trade apprenticeship training program in electronics or graduate of a military Class "A" electronics school.

  • Must have as a minimum, eight years hands-on experience in the field of electronics.

  • Experience must include operational, maintenance and team lead work assignments.

  • Previous Intrusion Detection System experience can be substituted at the rate of one years experience for each year of education required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Desired certifications: MS Server 2012, Windows 7, Security , Cisco CCNA SP.

Must have a working knowledge of the multiple systems to include:

  • AMAG

  • DMP alarm monitor and reporting systems

  • FLIR radars

  • Fiber optic cable and associated communication devices

  • AC and DC power supplies

  • CCTV cameras, DVRs, and video switchers

  • Computers (modems, video cards, device drivers, com ports, etc.)

  • Operating systems MS Server, Windows

  • Various other types of test equipment (signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers)
