ABOUT THIS POSITION
This position will be in support of multiple mechanical projects of our government customers. The engineer will provide technical solutions and lead the design, integration, and installation of sustainment engineering projects. Under general supervision, performs all conventional aspects of engineering and devises new approaches to problems encountered. The engineer plans, schedules, and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
They will performs work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements. They will provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with 0-2 years of engineering experience
Clearance Requirement: US Citizen with eligibility to obtain a DoD security clearance
The candidate must have good oral and written communication skills
Aerospace or military experience are definite pluses.
The ideal candidate will have experience with ANSYS or similar finite element program and SolidWorks.
Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is preferred.
