ABOUT THIS POSITION
This position produces a variety of standard documents, such as correspondence, form letters, reports, tables and other printed materials. Work requires skill in typing; a knowledge of grammar, punctuation and spelling; and ability to use reference guides and equipment manuals. The Word Processor I performs familiar, routine assignments following standard procedures, seeks further instructions for assignments requiring deviations from established procedures. In addition, this position may aid in Systems Engineering and Logistics Support tasks, including, but not limited to: process improvement initiatives, general housekeeping, data entry and analysis.
Education: High School diploma or GED
Experience: Shall have one (1) year of experience using technologically current automated word processing equipment and software applications, plus the ability to type 40 words per minute accurately. Candidate must have experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
