ABOUT THIS POSITION
KBRwyle Software and IT Solutions Sector is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Vector software development team. Vector is a powerful, next-generation logistics analysis web-based application that provides recommendations for management to address issues that degrade fleet readiness, increased operation/maintenance cost, forecasting supply requirements and management of asset availability.
The ideal candidate shall be knowledgeable about the software development life cycle (SDLC) and be able to adhere to coding standards, follow team established software development processes, and use established configuration management tools. The primary responsibilities of the candidate include web development in ASP.Net and C#, unit testing, and continuous integration with the opportunity to participate in team strategy and improvement. Our diverse team operates in an interactive, collaborative and self-organizing Agile team environment.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other related technical discipline and at least five (5) years of experience is required. An additional four (4) years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
US Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance or an US Citizen eligible for a clearance
Applicant must be able to participate in the full software development life cycle utilizing Agile methodologies and have strong software life cycle management experience.
Experience developing in MVC/MVP and developing custom applications with MS Access (including Visual Basic) is required. Experience with Web APIs, ASP.Net, C#, SQL Server, and stored procedures is required.
Object-oriented programming experience is required.
Experience with CMMI ML 3 processes is desired.
Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) including build services and Release Manager is desired.
Experience with project management and/or Scrum/Agile tools (MS Project, Visio, etc.) is desired. Industry certifications (CISSP, Security , CSM, PMP, etc.) are desired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Applicant must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be detail-oriented. Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
