Program Management Analyst


This position is for a program management analyst position supporting an ACAT-1 program in PEO(T) at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) in Patuxent River, Maryland. Essential job functions for this position include:

  • Manage, track, and update contract execution status

  • Assist in developing and maintaining an Integrated Government Schedule (IGS) and associated schedule metrics to include, but not limited to, critical path, driving path, and schedule risk assessment

  • Assist in the development and execute Statements of Work (SOW), product specification, and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs)

  • Coordinate and manage program risk

  • Support systems engineering and sustainment reviews

  • Participate as a member of and/or support specified Program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and IPT directed technical and business meetings

The successful candidate should be familiar with the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Procurement Initiation Documentation (PID) process, and apply Department of Navy (DON) and NAVAIR policies and procedures relative to program/project management, product sustainment, fielding, and project planning and tracking. The candidate will support US Navy contracting efforts to include program management and technical analysis; monitor contracting milestones and tasks to ensure cost, schedule, and performance parameters are met; review and provide technical and cost analysis on contract proposals; and provide contracting reports/updates on a monthly and weekly basis or as directed.


Bachelor's degree in technical discipline, business or management field from an accredited college or university is required.Equivalent experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree requirement. Five (5) years of business/management/development/integration experience with aircraft, weapons, and/or operations, with two of those years occurring within the last five (5) years. Appropriate educational background may be substituted for this experience.Knowledge of DoD systems acquisition requirements, documentation development, financial and/or technical requirements is required. Two (2) years of current experience preparing budgets and analyzing/preparing acquisition documentation is required. Ability to track action items, develop metrics, develop and track risk mitigation plans and develop and track plans of actions and milestones is required. Candidate must be able to organize, demonstrate effective oral and written communications, and operate in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment. Candidate must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Power Point) and similar computer–based productivity applications. Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. An active Top Secret Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 6 years is required.
