Description

Supports the PMA-231 Product Support Manager, Assistant Program Manager for Logistics, and the Product Support team Leasders ensuring all 12 elements of logistics are addressed in support of program implmentations.

Interfaces with OEMs, contractor support, LEMs, Logistics and Industrial Operations Competencies, In Service Support Centers, Fleet Readiness Centers, Naval Aviation Supply, and Defense Logistics Agency managers to support the overall Product Support strategies and cost analysis to meet Program goals.

Composes and coordinates Product Support related Statements of Work. Liaises with acquistion, financial, and contracts teams to enable the approval and release of Requests for Proposals followed by technical evaluation of submitted proposals providing recommendations to contracts in support of contract negotiations. Develops CDRLs associated with Product Support related SOWs, ensuring compliance with applicable data elements.

Supports design interface activities, properly identifying logistics programmatic requirements and influencing the design for supportability. Conducts analysis and participates in the system engineering Technical Reviews to ensure logistics products are being properly developed within the timeframes required to support milestone decisions.

Supports major acquisition programs, ensuring all aspects of logistics support and the development of data and products required for successfully fielding and supporting the program are incuded in the requirements documentation.

Is knowledgeable on the implementation of acquisition and in-service logistics policy, objectives, processes, and procedures as well as naval aviation systems and equipment.

Participates in the development and design of new systems, assessing the supportability and maintainability of proposed systems.

Participates in program reviews, meetings, and ILS evaluations. Provides LSA guidance, assesses compliance with contractual requirements and conducts periodic reviews of contractor LSA data.

Qualifications

BS/BA degree from an accredited University.

Minimum of six years of experience supporting a PMA in the logistics field.

Must have a minimum of a Secret level DoD clearance.
