This position will support the F-35 Lightning II Information Support Tool (LIST) Project. The successful candidate will be a part of a talented software team to develop and maintain a Jointapplication. The successful candidate will be responsible for and Oracle Database that interacts with a Java/Java EE application while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and the release process. The successful candidate will be expected to utilize tools and follow processes that ensure high quality software is delivered. Must be capable of working in a fast paced, agile environment.

Successful candidate will:

  • Design, implement and maintain database systems.

  • Ability to plan a database migration.

  • Perform capacity planning for future hardware requirements.

  • Monitor and optimize database system performance/throughput.

  • Install and configure new Oracle database instances.

  • Review database and application server instances for DoD Security Technical Implementation Guidelines compliance, apply fixes, and submit mitigations.

  • Perform routine backups, including use of Oracle's datapump export and RMAN utilities.

  • Refresh and restore tables and schemas as required.

  • Apply security patches and bug fixes. Create, modify, and delete database accounts.

  • Perform daily checks on database servers, confirming status of backups, file compression, and exports; troubleshoot any errors.

  • Create SQL\

  • Plus reports to monitor database information (including statistics on schemas, tables, indexes, and space usage) and user activity (database access, login failures, application usage, and password changes).

Members of the team will be geographically dispersed within the United States.



  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred; commensurate experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Certifications: The selected candidate must obtain a Security certification and an Operating System certification within 6 months of hire. Must maintain valid Security certification throughout employment.

  • Clearance Requirement: US Citizen with existing Department of Defense (DoD) Interim Secret clearance or Higher

Experience/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in Oracle Database Administration including installations and configurations is required.

  • The selected candidate must have experience with troubleshooting application database errors. Experience with RMAN is highly desired.
