ABOUT THIS POSITION

This position supports tasking for PMA-265 F/A-18 Program Office, NAVAIR Headquarters in Patuxent River, MD. General tasking includes performing managerial and administration functions. The selected candidate will serve as support to the Budget and Financial Management (BFM) Team in the F/A-18 program office.

DUTIES INCLUDE

Performing managerial/cost accounting, budgeting, funding execution, manpower management, system support, and financial analyses to provide efficient allocation and effective utilization of financial resources, making recommendations for improving operations, systems and reporting. Navy ERP will be utilized to perform financial execution functions. Support will be provided to a variety of management activities, corporate initiatives, special projects and data calls which could have significant impact on the organization and its business operations. More specific tasking will include case expenditures and P&A and LOA/Amendments development analysis and development of life cycle analysis, pricing, and appropriations. The successful candidate will participate in relevant Integrated Product Team (IPT) case development focus meetings, as requested, participate in case initiation meetings and in all collaborative review meetings.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a AAS degree in a Financial/Business related field, and one (1) years of experience in a navy related financial management position.

ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: 3 years or more experience in a navy financial related position may be substituted for an AAS degree.

Financial management experience should include financial analysis of business programs, development of cost estimates, program status reports, and knowledge of DoD Federal Management Regulations (FMR), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), PPBE process and Navy ERP.

Candidate must possess a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook e-mail) and the ability to review, revise, and communicate effectively.

Position requires a active secret security clearance

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The preferred candidate will have experience supporting a program office. Previous technical writing, cost management, and configuration management experience is desired. Experience with the DoD milestone process (DoD 5000) and other acquisition policy, including NAVAIR Procurement Management Tool training is desired. The preferred candidate will have familiarity with accessing NAV ERP.
