This position supports tasking at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD.Candidate will provide technical, programmatic and acquisition analyst services, primarily in support of advanced development projects that will transition from early research and development efforts and demonstrations into program of record systems and capabilities.Candidate will perform a wide variety of tasks for the government customer to include requirements development, statement of work development, draft requests for information and proposal, acquisition planning, conduct analyses of alternatives, identify recommended course(s) of action, risk identification and mitigation, develop and refine technology roadmap(s) and assist planning efforts to integrate new technologies and capabilities into existing systems.Candidate will interface with a wide variety of integrated team personnel.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in an engineering, technical or scientific discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

Experience: A minimum of 8 years of demonstrated experience in any combination of the following is required: research and development, manned or unmanned aviation, engineering or other scientific/technical field.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Candidate must be able to perform research, provide analysis, document findings and provide associated recommendations. Candidate must have strong communications skills, both oral and written, must be proficient in report writing and construction of briefing materials using MS Office tools such as Word and Power Point, and must also be proficient developing, updating and maintaining schedules and roadmaps using MS Office tools such as Project and Excel. Candidate must have a working knowledge of the DoD acquisition process and experience working in a Systems Command project office such as a NAVAIR PMA.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multitasking team environment. Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
