ABOUT THIS POSITION
This position will be located at the Air Force Joint Test Unit, Nellis AFB, NV. The selected candidate will serve as the Joint Test and Evaluation (JT&E) Joint Feasibility Study (JFS) Task Manager, and Test Engineer for a contractor team that will provide support services for the Joint Base Air Defense (JBAD) JFS. The JBAD JFS will determine the need and feasibility of conducting a Joint Test (JT) to address a lack of published, standardized joint Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) and a Concept of Employment (CONEMP) to de-conflict kinetic and non-kinetic effects, including associated command and control, for base air defense assets including Directed Energy Weapons (DEW).
Coordination with the KBRwyle JT&E Program Manager, leadership and oversight of a small contractor team, direct day-to-day liaison and coordination with the government test director and other stakeholders, coordination of contractor team activities, and development of required JFS deliverables. Test Engineer duties will include providing research, test design, and analysis planning using advanced systems engineering principles and statistical methods, exercise planning and JFS product development. CONUS travel may be required.
This position requires a Master’s Degree with 10 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of experience. The selected candidate must have demonstrated leadership experience and detailed knowledge of and experience with Test and Evaluation (T&E) including test design and statistical analysis. The candidate must be proficient with the use of the Microsoft Office family of software including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Support experience with previous JT&E projects is highly desired. Operations Research and System Analysis (ORSA) degree/training or completion of a Service-Accredited Operations Research course is desired. Previous experience with TTP development and/or base defense is desired.
