Manager, Operations – P&MCLS
The Prepositioning and Marine Corps Logistics Services (P&MCLS) program is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistics services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and U.S. Navy.
We currently have a position open for aManager, Operations.
Plans, coordinates, manages and directs operational activities on the P&MCLS program. Requires comprehensive knowledge and experience of Marine Corps logistical functions including equipment maintenance and supply chain management. Responsible for logistic support activities involving various aspects of production performance, cost, schedule controls, operations planning, performance monitoring and efficiencies, report writing, program planning, and customer interface.
Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of various departments in the organization.
Develops and maintains a strong, effective relationship with customer, acting as primary interface between customer and daily program operations and administration.
Formulates administrative and operational policies and procedures.
Directs and coordinates, through staff, the activities of all functional areas to obtain optimum use of equipment, facilities, and personnel.
Identifies specific requirements for financials, people, facilities, and services needed to support the P&MCLS program.
Correlates requirements with program plans to ensure that required support is provided at the right time and place.
Recommends capital expenditures for acquisition of new equipment to increase efficiencies and services.
Maintains applicable P&MCLS ISO policies and procedures.
Improve processes in support of operational goals.
Formulate and implement organizational policies and procedures to maximize production.
Monitor adherence to policies, regulations and procedures.
Ensures quality of production.
Monitor, manage and improves the efficiency of functional support such as IT,HR,Maintenance Management, Safety and Environmental, Contracts and Finance.Facilitate coordination and communication between functional areas.
Provides technical support where needed.
Liaison with Program Manager and Senior Leadership Team.
Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity.
Implement and manage operational plans.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
B .S. degree in logistical engineering, business, or related field.
Related military (MOS Qualified) - Marine Corps 0402, 3002 or other military service equivalent.
Ten years of progressive experience with specialized knowledge of logistic support activities including eight years in a management capacity, involving various aspects of cost/schedule controls, performance monitoring, report writing, program planning and customer interface.
Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Security Clearance
