Logistics Technician (Supply/Warehouse)
Will provide warehouse/logistics support to the Counter-Rocket, Artillery, Mortar (C-RAM) Project Office, including but not limited to operating supply accountability systems; repair and return programs; equipment/parts accounting; material processing; storage and shipment; uploading to IUID registers; use of RFID technologies; configuration management; and kitting, scheduling, and coordination of shipments. Must be able to lift heavy equipment, with some two man carry requirements, and work will be in various weather conditions. Will assist in the loading and offloading of equipment onto military aircraft as required. Will analyze and provide recommendations concerning various system plans, supply programs, and fielding during all phases of the system life cycle. Work will primarily be in Government warehouse facilities, military airfields, Government test sites, equipment storage yards, and office facilities. Will be required to travel to customer or company locations for support of testing and inventories for deployment to theaters of operation and recovery of previously deployed system assets. Must be able to operate various material handling equipment in a safe manner around equipment and personnel.
Required Degree Type:High school diploma
Years of Experience Required: 7 years
Type of Experience Required: Must have a minimum of 5 years experience working in a warehouse and/or professional setting. Must have extensive experience using Microsoft Office and Department of Defense inventory management databases, including Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW) and Catalog Ordering Logistics Tracking System (COLTS). Must possess a valid Alabama driver's license and be able to obtain a military driver's license. Must be able to obtain and maintain a US security clearance, which requires US citizenship.
Type of Experience Preferred: Experience with program management, logistics, IUID, RFID, kitting and configuration management is highly desired. Experience with equipment turn-in procedures to Defense Reutilization Management Office (DRMO) is desired. Experience with materiel handling and movement equipment is highly desired.
