Shared Services has an immediate opening for a Cash Application Accounting Specialist, working in the Accounts Receivable Department. Responsibilities include, but not limited to performing account reconciliations, growing and sustaining our business primarily through handling the application of incoming deposits from customers, as well as have an intimate knowledge of our treasury processes, while working closely with the internal team in pursuit of the company’s goals and objectives.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Apply payments received from Customers via check, ACH, and WIRE to client accounts.

  • Daily cash reporting

  • Application of cash in Deltek Costpoint

  • Uploading and maintaining all cash receipts documentation.

  • Processing remote check deposits

  • Researching and resolving unapplied cash, keeping the unapplied account balance to a minimum

  • Entering cash transfers and adjustments from the AR department

  • Answer client questions regarding problems with their accounts.

  • Answer internal questions regarding payment application and receipts.

  • Communicate with other factoring companies, in order to facilitate payment receipt.

  • Work to optimize cash application processes.

  • Work with AR Team to efficiently resolve Customer accounts.

  • Coding of incoming cash receipts

  • Maintaining monthly cash reconciliations

  • Preparing and entering cash adjustments

  • Processing credit card payments

  • Providing supporting documentation for audits when necessary

  • Assisting with ad-hoc projects related to cash

  • Communicate with the team about the activity of daily operations to meet deadlines efficiently.

  • Associate degree in Accounting (or related business field)

  • Strong communication and problem solving skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Possess organizational skills in a detail-oriented setting

  • Team player with ability to multi-task in a results-driven environment

Proficient in MS Office skills. Experience in Deltek Costpoint, Cognos, WAWF, and DFAS would also be helpful.
