ABOUT THIS POSITION

As the Technical Inspector, you will:

  • Inspect mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.

  • Inspect electrical assemblies and subassemblies.

  • Inspect cable assemblies and components.

  • Inspect and measure items for dimensional/electrical accuracy and functional operation, according to drawings, company standards, and specifications using precision measuring instruments and devices.

  • Perform inspection of materials and manufactured parts in accordance with inspection criteria using mechanical and electrical measurements.

  • Assist with other tasks as needed or directed.

The Technical Inspector will obtain and maintain process certification. The Inspector prepares and maintains inspection records; reports possible nonconforming materials, parts, etc., and monitors for conformance to design or test specifications; accepts or rejects materials or articles; identifies and documents nonconformance and notifies appropriate personnel of potential rejection of items.

Qualifications

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with or knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T).

  • Experience using and programming Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS 9100/QMS standards.

  • Knowledge of welding symbols (AWS/ISO) and non-destruction testing methods

  • Knowledge of military standards and commercial specifications.

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and engineering specifications.

  • Experience with or knowledge of special processes (e.g. anodizing, chemical film, passivation, heat-treating, powder coating, painting, etc.).

KBRwyle will provide training for the selected candidate as required.
