Position description:

Candidate will work as a senior AMD subject matter expert supporting a US Army government project office.Duties will focus on system requirements, system design, and planning for fielding of next generation Army Air and Missile Defense Command and Control Systems.

The AMD Sr Analyst must have demonstrated expertise in current Army Air Defense systems, tactics, techniques and procedures, and possess the mental acumen to grasp the impacts to Doctrine, Organizational Structures, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Personnel and Facilities (DOTML-PF) and the relationship to Defense Acquisition Management. The candidate must have the skills to lead discussions on each of the domains described, as well as the interrelationships, and possess the skills to influence future concepts of operations, assist with the management of DOTML-PF results, both in peacetime and periods of conflict that not only impact the fielding of IBCS, but impact programs across the Program Executive Office (Missiles & Space). The candidate must possess both a strong technical and tactical background with a firm grasp on the methodologies used to train and field new systems as well as the impacts to the force.

The AMD Sr Analyst must be familiar with operational execution of the Joint Capabilities Integrated Development System (JCIDS), both from the perspective of the user and developer; documentation requirements and timelines and act as intermediary between the IAMD Project Office and the Fires Center of Excellence to meet deadlines. The candidate must possess the skills to develop executive level briefing materials, brief high ranking military officers and civilians and work with little supervision.

Basic Qualifications:

A four-year degree from an accredited college is desired.A field grade rank while on active duty is desired. This position requires a minimum of 10 years DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed below.

Estimated travel of 25%.

Candidate must be a US citizen, and must be a resident of the Huntsville Al area or be willing to relocate.

Expertise with Joint communications is desired. Experience should include familiarity with MIL-STD-3011, Joint Range Extension Application Protocol (JREAP), MIL-STD-6016 Tactical Data Link (TDL) 16.

Other Qualifications:

Participation in Joint Service test events, e.g. Red Flag, Bold Quest, Air Defense instructor is preferred, with the ability to leverage these events, data, analysis, and performance of joint sensors for an integrated air picture.

Experience is desired with systems associated with Air Defense Artillery such as the Forward Area Air Defense Command, Control, and Intelligence (FAAD C2I)/ Counter-Rocket, Artillery, and Mortar Command and Control (CRAM C2) systems; Patriot; Air and Missile Defense Planning Control Systems (AMDPCS); Air Defense and Airspace Management (ADAM) Cells; and the Theater Missile-Warning Detachments (TMWD).

Operational experience with Army AMD systems, such as PATRIOT or IBCS is highly preferred.
