ABOUT THIS POSITION:Aircrew Combat Ensemble (ACE) Project Manager
Project Manager supporting DOD PM Air Warrior. Responsibilities include but not limited to technical responsibility for all aspects of engineering and integrated logistics support tasks. Prepare technical project plans and development schedules, creation of WBS’ (Work Breakdown Structure). Provides support to various Integrated Product Teams (IPT) in support of integrated technology applications. Collaborates with multiple agencies and internal team members to support reliability and maintainability analyses for modernization efforts. Exercises excellent technical writing and interpersonal skills for test/evaluation plans and reports. Possesses the ability to work alone with minimal guidance and function as part of a decentralized team. Employs knowledge of materials to identify and present potential aviation applications. Coordinates and provides input to the development of business cases, and modernization efforts.
Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks and CATIA
Lean Six Sigma green belt certification
Excellent technical writing skills, proficiency in MS Project and Excel
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
Ability to createdetailed and resourced Project Scheduleand budgets (WBS development)
Ability to perform requirements management, traceability, allocation to sub-systems
Ability to plan and execute PDR and CDR, FCA, and PCA
Ability to create Technical Data Package (TDP)
Ability to perform Trade Studies and Market Research
Human Factors Engineering experience
Kinetic system (Fall Arrest), Floatation/buoyancy systems, fabrics and materials (flame retardant/fire resistant and static dissipative)
Ability to create functional and physical architectures
Ability to create and implement test plans
Development of documentation – e.g. Purchase descriptions, specifications
Knowledge of safety systems
Ability to coordinate prototyping and integration of components
Ability to communicate with coworkers, teammates and customers
Ability to lead a design team
Understanding of and experience in design of clothing systems.
Knowledge of aircrew tasks is a plus
Create detailed and resourced Project Scheduleand Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
Identify work packages from the MS Project Schedule and communicate them to IPT members
Develop SOW and cost estimates for work packages outside of the KBRwyle team
Collect and summarize tasks for the ACE monthly report and input to the KBRwyleMonthly Report
Reconcile the activities to the schedule and report on status (ahead, on time, late)
Recognize any need for course correction to reach goal
Identify schedule and cost risks with mitigation options and communicate to PM AW
Participate in teleconferences and milestone meetings; ensure that there is a denoted time keeper and minutes writer
Review and provide input for improvement to presentations, reports and trade studies; provide conclusions and recommendations
Oversee the configuration management of ACE documents and prototypes
Identify long lead items required for team to achieve success (e.g. need for aircraft time, test facility lead time, materials purchases, etc.)
Assure projects are properly staffed.
Local candidates preferred; relocation package not available.
10 years’ of project management experience. Specific contract requirements will prevail.
