USAF Acquisition Program Manager


KBRwyle requires an AcquisitionProgram Manager (Specialist-Project/Program Management to support multiple Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) aircraftprograms at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. Seeking a Program Manager with aminimum of 5 years’ experience in United States Air Force Program Management, orSustainment program management. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Developing program documentation to support Request for Proposal, Milestone Decisions and Acquisition Strategy

  • Provide technical analysis integration of such aspects of program management as engineering, procurement, financial management, environmental management, configuration management, logistics management

  • Ensure program requirements and statements of work capture and are planned to the level of detail required for execution

  • Develop requirements, Milestone documentation, and provide technical writing expertise for deliverables

  • Participate in an advisory role to conduct analysis, draft, and deliver source selection evaluation inputs

  • Provide recommendations to ensure project information integrates into existing program strategy

  • Employ integration, communication, coordination, organizational, and planning expertise to technical and acquisition efforts across a number of functional disciplines

  • Perform a range of program management activities, such as: gathering a variety of program information; conducting analyses; developing program strategies; milestone planning, tracking, and scheduling; establishing and maintaining databases


TheUSAF Acquisition Program Manager must demonstrate comprehensive experience andknowledge of:

  • DoDand Air Force acquisition processes and execution (cost, schedule, performance,and risk) of a program

  • Coordinatingthe efforts of engineers, logisticians, financial managers, and contractingofficers

  • Experiencein scheduling (MS Project) and assessing Integrated Master Plans and Schedules

  • AirForce Material Command and Air Force Life Cycle Management Center policies,processes, and procedures

  • DoD5000.02 and AFI 63-101 policies, processes and procedures

  • AFPOM/Budgeting

  • Possessoutstanding writing and briefing skills;

  • Possessexcellent interpersonal skills and the desire to be a part of an integratedteam of both government and contractor personnel;

  • Abilityto interact with senior leaders, conduct analyses, identify discrepancies, andprovide corrective action plans;

  • PrepareStatement of Work (SOW) requirements for new efforts;

Bachelor’sdegree is required. At least two year of defense acquisition management experiencemust be within the last five (5) years. Candidate must possess the ability towork well as part of a team or with minimal supervision.

ActiveSecret Clearance required


  • Experienceworking as a program manager in AFLCMC

  • Experiencewith USAF Aircraft logistics or sustainment programs

  • Experienceas a member of a source selection

  • AcquisitionProfessional Development Program (APDP) Level II Certification in ProgramManagement or Life Cycle Logistics (or equivalent coursework)
