Senior Systems Engineer
KBRwyle is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to provide product support for the USAF Cyber Resiliency Office for Weapon Systems (CROWS) in the area of Systems Security Engineering (SSE) and Cyber Resiliency.
The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for the following:
Focus on ensuring cyber security and resiliency is incorporated in the weapons systems design process via the Systems Engineering (SE) process.
Support development of SSE artifacts and acquisition templates for inclusion in SE processes.
Assist in the development of a requirements construct to help USAF programs interpret and scope system security, acquisition security, and cybersecurity and resilience requirements.
Leverage NIST security controls, FAA direction, and other inputs to inform system security requirements.
Perform technical analyses, conduct research, and use technical management principles to assess impacts to DoD and USAF systems engineering and acquisition policies and processes; and provide recommendations for improvement.

Education/Experience:ABachelor's degreeandfifteen (15) years of experience is required.
Knowledge, SkillsandAbilities:Candidate should have a foundational understanding of DoD weapon system acquisition and system Life Cycle Systems Engineering processes.Position requires technical background in development of weapons system/platform avionics and/or software.Position requires some experience or familiarity of systems security engineering in one or more security specialty areas, such as Cybersecurity, Cyber Resilience, Anti-Tamper protection, Supply Chain Risk Management, Software Assurance, and Hardware Assurance.

Master’s degree in Engineering with twenty (20) years of experience is preferred.Broad understanding of systems engineering; an understanding of security; a technology specific understanding (e.g., avionics development); and a domain specific understanding (e.g., aircraft, space systems).
It is desired that theselected applicantshould haveknowledge of AirForceAssessment and Authorization (A&A) cybersecurity process andcurrentDoDcyber securityrequirements.
