Semiconductor Test Engineer


Wyle is seeking to fill a test engineer position in supportof semiconductor device research and reliability analysis at the Air ForceResearch Laboratory. The selected candidate will provide the followingtesting and analysis in a laboratory environment under moderate supervision,and report on the results of these analyses.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Optical, DC, and RF characterization ofsemiconductor devices

  • DC and RF reliability testing on multiple vendordevices IAW JEP118

  • Utilize Quantum Focus Instruments (QFI)microscope to collect biased device images and assist with failure analysis

  • Assemble reliability test station test fixturesto ensure compatibility with specified vendor and desired testing conditions

  • Perform basic troubleshooting with the softwareand hardware contained in the reliability test stations

  • Manage calibration schedules for all equipmentin the lab and for the reliability test stations


Required Skills & Experience

A Bachelor's of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with two(2) years of work experience is required. The selectedcandidate must have the ability to collect and organize data fromreliability test stations for technical reports, presentations andanalyses. Must be a US citizen.

Desired Skills and Experience

Skilled in MATLAB, Solidworks, MS Office, LabVIEW,MetaMorph Microscopy and Image Analysis, and Accel-RF’s Automated AcceleratedReliability Test System (AARTS) software.Experienced in the use of analog and digital multimeters,oscilloscopes, function and signal generators, soldering irons, and ribbonwelders
