KBRwyle Security Specialist in DAYTON, Ohio
KBRwyle requires a security specialist to assist the government security officer in providing overall security support and other duties assigned for the management and oversight of all unit SAP/SCI, collateral, physical, OPSEC and other security activities for AFLCMC Commander Directed Projects Division (AFLCMC/OZJ). There will be significant effort in standing up new SAP/SCI facilities and leading implementation of new security procedures for the standup of the Air Force-led F-35 Hybrid Product Support Integrator (HPSI) office.This position supports tasking located on-site at a Government program office at Wright Patterson, AFB OH. The candidate will provide overall security support, and other duties assigned for the management and oversight of all unit SAP/SCI activities.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Developing & implementing security policy and guidance for conducting classified operations & activities.
Provides guidance and assistance to unit personnel in accordance with program directives, security classification guides (SCG), the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Joint Air Force Army Navy (JAFAN) regulations, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) and other applicable Department of Defense (DoD) guidance.
The candidate must possess the ability and written communication skills to develop detailed security products such as: National Interest Determinations (NID), Standard Operating Procedures, security plans and facility accreditation packages.
The candidate must be familiar and functional with the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), Air Force Access Database (AFAD), Defense Central Index of Investigations (DCII), and Industrial Security Facilities Database.The Candidate will advise unit personnel on current personnel security policies and procedures for obtaining and maintaining SAP/SCI/CNWDI access. Prepares & reviews Program Access Requests (PAR) IAW the Special Access Program Nomination Process (SAPNP) and prepares letters of compelling need (LOCN) packages. Reviews the JPAS/DCII databases to confirm clearance information and send to visit certifications. This position will be a key member of a high-impact, fast-paced, high visibility team.Education/Experience: This position requires a candidate with either an associate's degree and seven (7) years of security experience, OR a Bachelor's Degree and five (5) years of security experience. Candidate must have twelve(12) months or more of experience in a SAP environment within the last five (5) years. The position will allow various combinations of education and experience using a 1 year of education for 1 year of experience substitution. Experience working in AFLCMC (or predecessor organizations) aircraft program offices is preferred. Experience with implementing security procedures, policies and processes for new multi-level security facilities is desired. Required Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC).Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Candidate must possess an active Top Secret security clearance, based upon a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) or SSBI Periodic Review (SBPR) and be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP) access.Key skills required:
