Roles and Responsibilities
KBRwyle is seeking an experienced computer and network administrator to support an Air Force Research Laboratory local network with 300 computers and 100 users, which has the purpose of designing, acquiring, and analyzing sensor components in a dynamic environment.This position is responsible for maintaining a research environment by identifying network requirements; installing upgrades; monitoring network performance. The position demands both responsiveness to user needs as well as an ability to maintain compliance with Air Force regulations.The position will require collaborative work as a member of a group of scientists and engineers at the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, OH.The system includes domain controllers, email and web servers, license servers, back-up servers, virus protection servers, etc.
Associates Degree in IT field is required with two years relevant experience.
A strong knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory functionality and architecture integrated to enable productive research
Experience with Windows (server and client), Linux (server and client), and OS X (client) operating systems
Knowledge in strategic planning, network design and implementation
Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize efforts
This position requires US citizenship.
Comfortable use of scripting (VBS, bash, etc.)
Deployment and maintenance of FlexLM concurrent license management software
Deployment and maintenance of Symantec Antivirus Management and deployment in a multiple-OS network
Experience in FileMaker Database deployment and maintenance utilizing WebDirect
Desire to accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
