Roles and Responsibilities

KBRwyle is seeking an AssociateSystems Administrator/Analyst capableof installing, deploying, maintaining, and defining Linux /Windows / Apple computational hardware systems for design, simulation, andevaluation of sensor components on a network with 300 computers, 100 users.The ideal candidate will alsoprovide capability supporting infrastructure data storage solutions, virtualmachine environments and cloud integration.A strong foundation in computer architectures as well as fundamentals insystem administration is required. Interest in acquiring skills related to inlarge scale computer deployment, administrative scripting, and virtualizedenvironments is highly desirable. The position demands both responsiveness touser needs as well as an ability to maintain compliance with Air Forceregulations.The position will requirecollaborative work as a member of a group of scientists and engineers at AirForce Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, OH.The systems includes domain controllers,email and web servers, license servers, back-up servers, virtual machines,cloud / parallel computing integration, etc.


Associates Degree in IT field is required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A strong foundation in computer architectures as well as fundamentals in system administration is required in both isolated and cloud-based computing. Essential capabilities include hands-on knowledge in EC2, Puppet, AWS tools, Microsoft Active Directory functionality components including DNS, DHCP, File Services, Print Services, Group Policy, and Certificate Services.

  • Experience with Windows (server and client), Linux (server and client), and OS X (client) operating systems

  • Capable with scripting languages such as (but not limited to) vbs, bat, bash, powershell, etc. for automated data processing

  • Comfortable with software installation and troubleshooting in isolated environments

  • Able to define Linux/Windows computational hardware/software configuration with an eye for results and performance

  • Effective communication skills and comfortable with documenting concepts in collaborative environments

  • This position requires US citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deployment and maintenance of task-oriented servers such as FlexLM concurrent license management, McAfee ePO, email/web, database servers, SNMP, performance monitoring, etc.

  • Familiar with typical scientific software such as Matlab, Origin, Labview, Python, Lumerical, etc.

  • Independent, solutions-orientated, organized and detail orientated min with a desire to accomplishing new capabilities; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

  • Interest in acquiring skills related to in large scale computer deployment, administrative scripting, and virtualized environments is highly desirable

  • Quick study, technical zeal
