Description

The Aerospace Life Support Administrator will oversee the daily operations, maintenance and support of the aircrew the life support equipment used in the training and research activities associated with the Wright Patterson AFB Centrifuge and Research Altitude Chambers (C&RAC) Life Support Lab. The successful candidate will coordinate and conduct training, testing and evaluation of aircrew members using the USAF provided life support equipment used in the C&RAC facilities. The Life Support Administrator will participate in quality assurance activities associated with the lab including managing, troubleshooting and repairing life support equipment and test systems supporting the C&RAC. The candidate is a key member of the emergency response evacuation team.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience

  • At least 7 years of experience as an aerospace physiology technician or equivalent training/experience in aerospace research science

  • Completion of Aircraft Mishap and Safety Investigation Life Sciences Course

Required Skills/Training

  • Experience in managing, operating and fitting aircrew members in US aerospace life support equipment

  • Experience in supporting research involving human subjects

  • Experience as an Emergency Response Team member

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products
