Under limited supervision, serves as a technical consultant for projects including design, installation, maintenance, testing, evaluation and operation of complex systems. Oversees the preparation of designs, specifications and estimates of costs. Serves as the customer interface for technical, operational, and administrative information and for resolving technical issues. Designs, implements, maintains and improves complex instruments, electronic components, equipment or systems for commercial, military, or scientific applications. Leads one or more work teams. Provides professional engineering and consulting services to customers. Applies extensive knowledge of practices and standards to help solve engineering problems. Analyzes system requirements, capacity, cost, and customer needs to determine feasibility of project. Estimates quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor. Advises customer of technical requirements and makes appropriate changes. Expertly plans and manages the planning, scheduling, and implementation of multiple projects. Inspects electronic equipment, instruments, products, and systems to ensure conformance to specifications, safety standards, and quality standards. Analyzes systemic failure data and trends to determine causes of problems and develops solutions. Recommends repair or design modifications based on factors such as environment, service, cost, and system capabilities. Develops technical documentation and procedures for installation, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment. Documentation is written in accordance with technical specifications, program requirements and quality standards.

Local candidates preferred; relocation package not available.



Education:Associate’s Degree in engineering, physics, computer science, information security or other technically oriented curricula.


Experience:Fourteen (14) years of practical experience with Closed Circuit Television and Networked Video Management Systems. Eight (8) years of

experience, to include: installation of such equipment. Four (4) years of experience, to include: design, preparation and modification of engineering documents, and drawings. Eight (8) years of experience in Video and Networked Video Management Systems discipline, of which 5 must have been performed within the last 7 years. Note: Experience may be concurrent.
