ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Electrical Engineer Lead shall serve as the primary liaison between the Government CORs and the Contractor’s installation and service departments. This individual shall have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the integration of electronic security systems and shall work closely with the Government CORs regarding configuration management and all technical aspects of the NPSP. The Electrical Engineer Lead shall become familiar with the existing configuration, technical and installation standards utilized by the Government; shall propose new configurations, applications and technologies which perform more efficiently than existing systems; and shall propose adaptations to existing systems to improve performance.

Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.

Designs electrical equipment, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

Formulates, recommends, and directs operations and procedures to resolve engineering and/or technical problems regarding operations, staffing, and equipment utilization on a specific project or projects.

Provides technical assistance and instruction relative to design problems and the resolution of construction or operating difficulties.

Conducts special studies and investigations related to project activities and recommends changes as appropriate to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and meet changed or new requirements.

Analyzes project requirements and provides information and instruction for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, designing, and modifying equipment as appropriate.

Plans and coordinates the work of other engineers and technical personnel, with completed assignments subject to minimum review of overall results.

Trains, directs, and assists the efforts of other personnel, as required, to fulfill the objectives of the assignment.

Serves as organizational consultant; leads multi-discipline or cross-functional team(s).

May supervise lower level engineers.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • MS in mathematics, engineering, computer science, or other related field and 11 years of related experience in the integration of electronic security systems, or BA/BS in related field and 13 years of progressive, related experience. Specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail.

  • Clearance: Public TrustADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the integration of electronic security systems.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
