The Prepositioning and Marine Corps Logistics Services (P&MCLS) program is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistics services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and U.S. Navy.

We are accepting resumes for a Motor Transport Lead Mechanic for our Kuwait location.

Job Summary and Responsibilities:

A Motor Transportation Lead Mechanic under supervision will be capable of planning, scheduling, performing, directing and evaluating the repair and service of all Marine Corps variants of tactical motor transport vehicles, trailers and comparable vehicles such as medium and heavy motor transport equipment (MTVR, LVSR, MRAP, etc.). Will have significant control of overseeing and directing Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) or Corrective Maintenance (CM), and modification activities on military equipment as directed by the Motor Transportation Supervisor. Will be required to plan, prioritize and organize section work plans, tasks, verify the work/process is completed, maintain scheduled production data, report work and manpower status and verify accuracy of administrative data. Will be required to enter all maintenance activities performed into the Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps. Must be capable of supervising limited technical inspections and SL-3 inventories in accordance with applicable technical manuals and directives to ensure equipment is ready for quality control and assurance checks. Creates and validates maintenance service request in Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps (GCSS-MC). Capable of performing Quality Assurance (QA) inspections on Motor Transportation equipment when maintenance is complete and will provide technical assistance, guidance, or training to other mechanics to include troubleshooting.Operates organic ground motor transportation and material handling equipment to include but not limited to MTVR, LVSR, and MRAP when needed to complete the mission. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or equivalent.

  • Four (4) years directly related experience.

  • Two (2) years minimum supervisory experience in maintenance activities.

  • Must have completed a program of certification, i.e. assigned the USMC 3521 (3529, 3522,

3524) Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) or other service equivalent, ASE certification.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds unaided.

  • US Citizen. Proof required.

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport.

  • Ability to operate personal computers, multimedia data entry, and scanning and retrieval systems functions.

  • Understanding of the organization's logistic functions and the activities involved in providing logistical support.

  • Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.

  • Valid state Motor Vehicle Operator License.

· Experience and knowledge of requisitioning requirements utilizing appropriate Stock List, Parts Manuals, and Technical Manuals.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Previous experience with Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps (GCSS-MC).

· Completed an advanced Motor Transportation Mechanic Repair Course or civilian equivalent.

· Understanding of the organization's logistic functions and the activities involved in providing logistical support.

· Experience with warranty repair or warranty administration.

  • Must be willing and able to travel (military airlift) and work in other countries in the region of the Middle East.

  • In addition to meeting KBRwyle employment requirements, the United States Marine Corps has minimal standards of fitness for deployment. Your continued employment is contingent upon your being approved for deployment by the United States Marine Corps, in accordance with their policies and regulations.

  • Most work will be performed in extreme temperatures, employees must be willing and able to work under these conditions as determined by a required physical examination.
