KBRwyle Project Lead in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland
The successful candidate will perform a variety of complex system engineering tasks that include design, development, integration, testing of an aerial system, post flight analysis and development of briefs and reports to present to senior Army leadership. Additionally, the candidate will participate as a team member and/or lead on project teams that oversee systems engineering, requirements development, assessment and insertion of new capabilities and signal, accreditation, sensor integration, software integration, flight testing and post test data analysis and report development. The qualified candidate will be capable of system conceptualization, system level requirements definition and system test and evaluation.
Serve as system engineer supporting PD SURW
Excellent technical management and communication required to oversee execution and technical accuracy.
Knowledge of SIGINT systems and technologies as well as data processing (preferred)\
Experience with integrating sensors on an aerial platform (preferred)
Will be required to coordinate with the multiple contractors, 116th MIB, NGIC, and I2WD personnel
System background, understanding of the software engineering processes, software life cycle and can articulate status and requirements to stakeholders and contractor software teams.
Assist in developing new requirements and corresponding engineering level of effort estimates, evaluating cost and technical proposals
Participate in weekly project and engineering meetings to review project progress and issues.
Effectively communicate and coordinate with the senior military leadership, US Government customers, Contracting officer and Contractors (Prime and Sub), to establish relationships to support program management business rhythms, capture initiatives and other new requirements as appropriate.
Review and evaluate projects Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM)
Ensure that proper systems engineering disciplines are being employed on all efforts
Attend various IPTs, provide engineering input to vendors and team members
Prepare briefs and presentations of sensor performance to present and support project management meetings and briefings to external Defense organizations and senior Army leadership.
Requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred) or related scientific or technical discipline
Requires at least 10 years of experience in development, integration and documentation or in a related field of system and test engineering
Must have Top Secret//SCI Clearance
Travel up to 25% of the time
Ability to exhibit flexibility, initiative, and innovation when dealing with ambiguous and fast-paced situations
Ability to lead multiple teams, manage relationships, and be a key contributor in training efforts
