Configuration Manager

Description

  • Establish and/or maintain procedures to initiate, record, review, approve, and track baseline modification requests.Lead facilitator for managing the change process.Tracks lifecycle of change through to final implementation.

  • Identify and maintain metrics of the CM process to track overall performance and effectiveness of the process.

  • Facilitates periodic CCB meetings and develops a method for clearly communicating status of all changes.

  • Coordinates periodic Configuration Audits, to ensure that the documented information (TDP) is consistent with the actual attributes of the delivered product line, and to confirm effectiveness of the CM process.Where issues are found, identify and lead CM process corrective action.

  • Continue establishment of a controlled environment for configuration management product baseline definition (e.g. Windchill).

  • Review, verify, and process for approval incoming software requests for both Configuration Items and Software Baselines to include v3, OGS, and DCGS-A Lite.

  • Create, update, and maintain technical documentation such as Version Description Documents.

  • Establish, document, and follow procedure(s) to control changes to baseline products and customer requirements to deliver baseline products.

  • Establish, document, and maintain the status of configuration items/units.

  • Produce and deliver standard reports of CM activities and the status of configuration items/units.

  • Participate in, provide status reports, and maintain records of Engineering Review Board (ERB) / Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings. To include getting packages signed by stakeholders after each ERB/CCB.

  • Establish, document, and perform baseline audits for sustained and future builds.

  • Verify and perform quality assurance on the physical and electronic media (deliverables) received and replicated for release. This includes media for PM DCGS-A, OGS, and DCGS-A Lite.

  • Document and perform quality assurance on all COTS media received from vendors

  • Duplicate and distribute all data/media as appropriate.

  • Submit and track data/media in the CM repositories after all quality assurance and duplication/replication tasks are completed.

  • Retrieve data from CM repositories, as necessary

  • Receive deliveries ensuring signed confirmation is returned.

  • Receive software updates ensuring CM Master is updated with any changes.

  • Lead Facilitator in Configuration Control Board, provide status reports, and maintain records of Engineering Review Board (ERB) / Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings. To include getting packages signed by stakeholders after each ERB/CCB.

Requires a BS Degree and 7-10 years of applicable experience. Experience in the conduct of Engineering Review Boards, Configuration Control Boards, S/W development, Systems Development Life Cycle are required. Candidate must have a TS/SCI clearance.
